On behalf of my Government, I am pleased to welcome athletes, officials and supporters to Perth for VolleyWest 2026, hosted by Volleyball Australia at the Bendat Basketball Centre and Gold Netball Centre from 20–28 September.

Now in the second year of a three-year partnership, VolleyWest brings the Australian Youth Championships and the Australian Club Championships to Perth, strengthening Western Australia’s reputation as a premier destination for major sporting events and high-performance competition.

During the championships, competitors will showcase their skills, determination and sportsmanship in venues that offer outstanding facilities and a vibrant atmosphere for athletes and spectators alike. 

Also joining the Youth and Club Championships is the Volleyball Australia National Development Camp, offering WA-based athletes a chance to showcase their talent and create more opportunities for Western Australians to excel. 

Events play an important role in supporting my Government’s economic diversification strategy. VolleyWest is expected to deliver significant economic benefits through visitation, accommodation, and spend in local businesses, supporting local jobs and the wider community. 

While in Western Australia, visitors can explore Perth’s stunning coastline, world-class food and entertainment scene, nearby attractions such as the Swan Valley and Rottnest Island.  I encourage you to venture a little further and explore our beautiful and diverse regions, from the forests and world-class wineries of the South West to the ancient landscapes of our North.
